Meet at Alligator River National Wildlife Refuge entrance, at Creef Cut Wildlife Trail, at the intersection of Milltail Road and US Hwy 64. The GPS coordinate for this site is 35º 51.8' north latitude/75º 51.4' west longitude.

From the west—Approximately seven miles from the bridge over Alligator River, on Highway 64 East, the refuge entrance is on the right. A sign for Milltail Road will be on the left and a Creef Cut Trail sign is on right.

From the east—Approximately five miles over the Virginia Dare Bridge, on Highway 64 West Bypass, the Refuge entrance is on the left. The sign for Milltail Road is also on your right, before you see the Creef Cut Trial sign on your left.

From Nags Head/Kill Devil Hills—Take Highway 158 South to the Highway 64 West Bypass. Cross the Virginia Dare Bridge and continue traveling east through Manns Harbor. Creef Cut is approximately five miles over the bridge on the left, on Highway 64 West.
